Description: In February of 1993, Corporal Brown was assaulted during the Mardi Gras Day celebration in downtown Mobile, Alabama. Corporal Brown responded to an incident where an intoxicated suspect was creating a disturbance. While attempting to arrest the suspect, Corporal Brown's head was beaten against the street curb rendering him unconscious. Because of his injuries Corporal Brown suffered from a seizure disorder which forced him to retire early in 1993. He died in 1997 from a grand mal seizure.
