Description: Police Officer Bonaminio was shot and killed while involved in a foot pursuit with a driver suspected of a hit-and-run incident. Officer Bonaminio pulled the suspect over. The suspect exited the vehicle and ran into Fairmount Park where a shootout ensued. Officer Bonaminio was struck. The shooter returned to the vehicle and fled. Officer Bonaminio was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
