Description: Night Police Officer Blackwell was stabbed when he responded to a domestic disturbance call where a woman was being assaulted. Officer Blackwell was stabbed in the chest while protecting the woman. Officer Blackwell drew his gun and fatally shot the suspect. Officer Blackwell died of his injuries four days later.
