Description: Officer Bryant was struck and killed by an errant motorist while he and fellow officers participated in the Iowa State Torch Run for the Special Olympics. Officers Bryant and Michael Heston were both struck by the 81 year old driver and transferred to a local hospital. Officer Bryant was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Officer Heston was treated and released.
