Description: Deputy Bennett was shot and killed as he and several other deputies responded to a home invasion call where shots had been fired. At least five gang members had broken into the home and shot a woman and a two-month-old child. When law enforcement arrived they were met with gunfire. During the exchange of gunfire, Deputy Bennett was shot fatally when a round penetrated his vest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two gang members were also shot and killed in this incident.
