Description: Chief Deputy Barnes and Sheriff Bob Wofford responded to a disturbance call where two people were found shot to death. Deputy Barnes and Sheriff Wofford went to the home that was identified as the suspect shooter's residence. When Deputy Barnes knocked on the front door, the suspect opened fire on both law enforcement officials. Deputy Barnes was shot twice in the head and abdomen. She was flown to the St. Louis County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Sheriff Wofford was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
