Description: Patrolman Byrd was killed in a motorcycle accident while on patrol. Patrolman Byrd braked to avoid a collision with a vehicle that had stopped in front of him. Patrolman Byrd was thrown his department motorcycle and struck by an oncoming truck. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
