Description: Patrolman Barrow was electrocuted when he stepped on a live wire. Patrolman Barrow and his partner were dispatched to protect life and property from live electric wires, which had broken from the high winds of hurricane Barbara. When the officers arrived at the scene, they encountered deep water on the roadway. As Patrolman Barrow stepped out of the vehicle to investigate, he came into contact with a live high voltage electrical line which was lying in the water and was electrocuted. Patrolman Marshall was also shocked when he tried to pull Patrolman Barrow back into the patrol car but survived his injuries. Patrolman Barrow was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
