Description: Corporal Bowles was on routine patrol when he noticed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and gave pursuit. Corporal Bowles arrested the suspect for several traffic violations, including DUI. The suspect resisted arrest and fought with Corporal Bowles before being transported to the station. While transporting the suspect to the station, Corporal Bowles became ill and experienced head and chest pains. He called dispatch for back-up and medical assistance. Emergency services transported Corporal Bowles to the hospital where he lapsed into a coma and died four days later due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
