Description: Chief Brumley and a posse were attempting to arrest a gang who had just robbed a hardware store. A gunfight erupted on the outskirts of town, leaving Chief Brumley, Deputy Earl Powell and Officer Charles Lloyd dead. The four outlaws also died as a result of this battle.
