Description: Sergeant Baitinger was shot and killed while attempting to rescue two officers who were shot while serving an aggravated battery warrant. Sergeant Baitinger was part of the entry team assigned to rescue Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz and Deputy Marshal Scott Ley from the attic of the armed suspect??®s house. Sergeant Baitinger was shot and killed by the suspect. Officer Yaslowitz was also killed in this incident and Deputy Ley was wounded. The suspect was fatally shot by law enforcement officers.
