Description: Constable Burnett was attempting to serve a warrant for burglary. After making an arrest, suspect asked if if he could go inside his house and pick up a jacket. The constable let him go into the house and followed close by. Once inside suspect picked up a Winchester carbine and ran out the back door. Constable pursued and fired at suspect. Suspect fired at the same time. Constable Burnett was fatally wounded. The suspect was wounded and taken into custody.
