Description: Undercover Narcotics Agent Baez Lugo was traveling from San Juan, Puerto Rico with an assigned informant en route to the Ponce International Airport. Agent Baez Lugo?s assignment was to complete a large drug transaction with drug dealers at the airport. The drug suspects became suspicious and cancelled the transaction. While traveling back to the station, Agent Baez Lugo was driving at a high rate of speed because it is believed by investigators that she feared for her and the informant's life. She lost control of her car while attempting to negotiate a curve. Agent Baez Lugo died at the scene of the accident. The investigation found two sets of tire marks at the accident scene indicating that another car was involved in the accident.
