Description: Constable Brode was fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire when he answered a disturbance call at a party. Constable Brode was attempting to stop a fight between two men when one of the men pulled a .32 revolver and shot Constable Brode once in the chest. Although mortally wounded, Constable Brode returned fire and killed his assailant.
