Description: Officer Boyle and his partner responded to a domestic call on 14th Street. When he got there, he was told the man had a gun and would shoot anyone who went to the house. Officer Brown died from injuries of the shotgun blast in which 40 pellets struck his body, some of them around the brain. His partner, Officer Frank Hays, was also wounded but survived. The suspect was arrested.
