Description: Patrolman Barclay died from complications of gunshot wounds he received 40 years earlier while attempting to arrest a suspect for burglary. While attempting to arrest the armed suspect, he was shot three times rendering him paralyzed from the waist down. Patrolman Barclay was forced to retire and suffered countless complications from several surgeries before his death on August 19, 2007. The Philadelphia State Medical Examiner has categorized his death as a homicide.
