Description: Sheriff Brady and Deputy Sheriff George Hindman, both of Lincoln County, New Mexico, were ambushed and shot by Billy the Kid and his Regulators as they attempted to arrest them for murder. Billy the Kid and his gang fled the scene. Billy the Kid was responsible for the deaths of four additional law enforcement officers: Robert Beckwith, James Carlysle, James Bell and Robert Olinger.
