Description: On October 18, 2007, Officer Barnes and his partner responded to more than 20 routine calls from 08:00 - 21:00 while on patrol. Officer Barnes' partner went off-duty at 21:00 but he remained on duty until midnight. From 21:00 - 24:00, Officer Barnes responded to a bank alarm, two domestic disturbance calls, and one minor traffic incident with injuries before his shift ended. Officer Barnes went home and suffered a fatal heart attack while sleeping.
