Description: Deputy Sheriff Bloomfield was shot while attempting to arrest a bootlegger. A gun battle ensued and Deputy Bloomfield was fatally wounded. Deputy Bloomfield died shortly after arrival at the doctor's office. The bootlegger also was killed in this incident.
