Description: Police Officer Barkley was shot as he attempted to arrest a burglary suspect. Officer Barkley and a security guard were undercover in a drugstore that had been burglarized several times. As the burglar entered the drugstore, the security guard turned his flashlight on the suspect who then shot Officer Barkley in the stomach. Officer Barkley was transported to the hospital and died later that morning. The burglar was arrested.
