Description: Police Officer Cox was killed during a traffic stop when the driver of the vehicle attempted to flee the scene with Officer Cox partially inside the passenger compartment. Officer Cox fired on the suspect before the vehicle collided with a tree. Officer Cox was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle died at the scene.
