Description: Deputy Childs was shot by a suspect who was threatening to shoot another man. Deputy Childs received the complaint by the man who had been threatened and was on his way to obtain a warrant, when the suspect approached him and began shooting. Deputy Childs was struck in the chest and died at the scene.
