Description: Deputy Copeland pulled over a car that matched the description of one that left a gas station without paying $3.20. As Deputy Copeland approached the vehicle, the passenger shot him four times striking him in the head and back. Deputy Copeland was pronounced dead at the scene. His 17 year old assailant received a 99 year prison sentence. The other suspect was sentenced to two years.
