Description: Deputies Chapman and Peck were assigned to stakeout duties in an attempt to arrest two men who had been robbing couples in their vehicles. Deputies saw two suspicious men drive past their patrol unit and then returned. Wearing a mask and pistols in hand, the suspect got out of a stolen car and approached the deputies. Deputy Chapman received a fatal gun shot to the head. Deputy Peck was shot twice, but was able to wound and arrest both suspects.
