Description: Police Officer Chandler and two other officers were injured in a vehicle crash while attempting to make a traffic stop of a moped on November 23, 2014. The driver of the moped refused to stop and made a sharp right turn in front of the cruiser. The cruiser struck the moped, then a utility pole. Officer Chandler, who was a passenger in the rear of the cruiser, sustained fractures to his right humorous and left tibia. While undergoing surgery to repair the fractures, Officer Chandler had an adverse reaction to the anesthesia administered, requiring several additional surgical procedures. Officer Chandler died due to complications of his surgeries on January 9, 2015.
