Description: Constable Cummins was shot as he attempted to arrest an intoxicated suspect who had fired a gun at two men and a dog. As Constable Cummins approached the suspect, the suspect raised his rifle and shot Constable Cummins in the chest. Constable Cummins died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
