Description: Captain Conley and Deputy Powell were en route as backup unit to assist with a burglary call. The patrol unit was struck by truck which pulled into their lane. Captain Conley's cruiser traveled off the road and overturned. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver of the truck also died. Deputy Powell suffered serious injuries but survived.
