Description: Officer Cassidy was shot when he walked into a robbery in progress at a Dunkin Donuts. Officer Cassidy entered the store as the suspect held a gun to the store clerks' head and demanded money. The suspect spun around and shot Officer Cassidy once in the head. Before running from the scene, the suspect stole Officer Cassidy's weapon. Officer Cassidy was transported to a local hospital where he died the next day.
