Description: On September 21, 1918, Patrolman Crooker contracted the influenza virus while on duty at his post at the hospital. The hospital was created to treat the victims of the Influenza Epidemic of 1918. Patrolman Crooker assisted the medical staff treat patients and also restrained those patients who became violently delirious. Patrolman Crooker died due to broncho pneumonia on October 3, 1918.
