Description: Patrolman Campbell and Officer Oscar Knight responded to a family disturbance call where two brothers were armed and arguing with their neighbors. When the officers arrived both brothers fled the scene. While in foot pursuit Patrolman Campbell was shot once in the neck and killed. Patrolman Campbell died before the ambulance arrived on the scene. Officer Knight was able to arrest both suspects. Patrolman Campbell was the first officer killed in the line of duty from the Holdenville, Oklahoma, Police Department.
