Description: On October 20, 2013, Police Officer Choi was struck and critically injured by a vehicle as he was reopening the lower level roadway on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Officer Choi was transported to the hospital with pelvic and head injuries. Officer Choi remained comatose and died of his injuries a year later on December 29, 2014.
