Description: On February 24, 1985, Sergeant Cimino was teaching a training class on the use of the PR 24 baton and handcuffing techniques. Sergeant Cimino was role-playing the part of the suspect and he pretended to resist arrest while physical force was applied by a student. Sergeant Cimino complained of chest and back pains. He was pale and sweating, his breathing quick and heavy. He rested a bit and then finished the class. Sergeant Cimino was at home for the next two days and complained of further symptoms. Sergeant Cimino was transported to the hospital where he died on February 28th due to a heart attack.
