Description: Trooper Clardy was killed in an automobile crash while conducting a traffic stop. As Trooper Clardy was sitting in his department SUV and running the individual's license information, his vehicle was struck from behind by an impaired driver travelling at a high rate of speed. Trooper Clardy was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
