Description: Deputy Sheriff Clark succumbed to injuries sustained on October 27, 2015 when he was intentionally struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop. Deputy Clark requested identification from the occupants of a vehicle parked on the side of the road. One man did not provide identification and jumped into a pickup truck and intentionally ran Deputy Clark over. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended hours later. Deputy Clark was transported to the hospital in stable condition. On June 30, 2016, Deputy Clark underwent back surgery for a broken disc sustained when he was initially struck. Deputy Clark died while recovering at home on July 4, 2016.
