Description: Sheriff Carpenter and Wildlife Officer Joel Campora, of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, drowned while attempting to assist victims during a flash flood. The officers were attempting to rescue two women who were trapped in their home by raging flood waters. During the rescue, the flood waters caused the house to collapse and the officers and both women drowned.
