Description: ASAIC Collins suffered a heart attack while serving as detail leader for Vice Presidential candidate Admiral James Stockdale at the Los Angeles International Airport in California. Agent Collins was supervising agents assigned to protect the candidate two weeks prior to the presidential election. Agent Collins was in the spare limo with another agent when he collapsed prior to the motorcade's departure from the airport. Agent Collins was transported to the hospital where he died.
