Description: Correctional Officer Conrad was killed in an automobile crash while operating a prisoner transport vehicle. Officer Conrad was transporting a juvenile prisoner when he lost control of the prisoner transport van on the snowy, icy roadway. The van crossed the center median and was struck by a semi-truck. Officer Conrad was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The prisoner sustained injuries but the driver of the truck was not injured.
