Description: Police Officer Cordova was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend a suspect regarding a motor vehicle theft. Officers located the suspect inside of a car and as officers attempted a traffic stop, the suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire on Officer Cordova. Officer Cordova succumbed to his wounds while still in the patrol vehicle.
