Description: Special Agent Cross was shot and killed when he confronted three burglars who were stealing from a box car at the Cuming Street crossing in Omaha, NE. When Agent Cross ordered the men to stop, one of the suspects complied but a second man attacked Agent Cross, who was able to fend him off. The third suspect opened fire, shooting Agent Cross twice. Agent Cross returned fire and wounded one of the suspects. The suspects were arrested and charged with murder.
