Description: Dispensary Constable Cornwell was shot, in an exchange of gunfire, when he and a second constable attempted to arrest two suspects regarding their possession of several kegs of illegal liquor. One suspect escaped and the other suspect was wounded. Constable Cornwell died of his injuries two days later. The wounded suspect also died.
