Description: On March 18, 1986, Police Officer Cotton suffered a groin injury as he attempted to subdue a suspect. The injury required surgery. Officer Cotton was at home recovering from the first surgery and scheduled for a second when he collapsed and died of a pulmonary embolism a month later on April 29th.
