Description: Officer Crisp, and his K-9 Maros, were shot and killed while participating in the manhunt for a subject who had committed two murders in Burke County, North Carolina. Officers from several agencies were searching for the suspect after the discovery of the bodies of the suspect's parents in their home. Officer Crisp and K-9 Maros were fatally wounded during the exchange of gunfire with the suspect. The suspect was shot and killed by law enforcement officers.
