Description: Deputy Sheriff Culver was shot in an exchange of gunfire as he and another deputy attempted to stop a fight at a saloon. Deputy Culver was shot in the chest by the suspect. Deputy Culver returned fire and killed the suspect. Deputy Culver died of his injuries later that evening.
