Description: Patrolmen Cutler and John Arnold were shot as they attempted to arrest a suspect for public intoxication and causing a disturbance. Patrolman Cutler died of his injuries the next day. Patrolman Arnold survived. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison which was commuted by the governor after serving 10 years.
