Description: Officer Cortner was conducting evening curfew checks of probationers, when a motorist crossed the center line, resulting in a head-on collision. The suspect driver was killed instantly. Officer Cortner was taken to a local hospital with multiple injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
