Description: Trooper Cunniff died from injuries he sustained in an automobile crash when his patrol vehicle was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer while conducting a traffic stop. Trooper Cunniff had pulled over a vehicle for speeding and was seated in his patrol vehicle with the emergency lights activated when he was struck by the tractor-trailer. Trooper Cunniff was transported to the hospital where he remained until his death the following day.
