Description: Captain Cagle succumbed to a gunshot wound he received three days earlier while responding to an armed robbery in progress at a grocery store. Captain Cagle was the first officer on the scene and was shot in the abdomen when he entered the store. Captain Cagle and a Chester County deputy were able to return fire and wound the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene of the crime and was charged with attempted robbery and murder. Deputy Cagle was taken to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries three days later.
