Description: Patrolman Caviglia was shot while investigating a burglary in progress. Patrolman Caviglia was taken to the hospital, where he died wounds two days later. Detective Guido Pessagano arrested the two suspects wanted for Patrolman Caviglia's murder. Detective Pessagano was shot and killed on October 22, 1931 when he attempted to arrest a man for the 1928 murder of Patrolman Jeremiah Brosnan.
