Description: Attempting an arrest. Officer Cross and Officer Rodgers responded to a call of a mentally deranged person with a shotgun. The suspect had just shot and killed a bill collector who was waiting for suspect at his residence. Upon arrival at the scene the officers attempted to disarm the suspect. The suspect then fired one shot at Officer Cross striking him in the hip and stomach.
