Description: Trooper Chavez was killed in an automobile accident on U.S. 83 while responding to assist another officer on a narcotics arrest. As Trooper Chavez approached the scene, his patrol car went out of control and overturned. Trooper Chavez was transported to a local trauma hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
